Personal Experience 101:
Before I ever got into Real Estate, a close friend of mine tried in vain to sell his house...it sat on the market for over 4 months...offers did come in over the four months, but nowhere near the asking price. He was getting desperate and asked me for my personal and professional advice (my background is building construction and design) I took one look at the place and I wrote down 15 things he had to do...at a cost of $1,200. He agreed with my suggestions and the two of us undertook the tasks at hand. When we were finished...the house looked immaculate and the following week it sold for $20,000 above any of the other offers. Needless to say, that is what got me hooked into Real Estate and to this day I pass my knowledge and advice on to each and every client I work with.
